Although your independent living campus offers a range of enjoyable activities and programs on site, it can be beneficial mentally and physically to get away for a few hours and experience the numerous attractions in Federal Way and the surrounding area.

3. Federal Way Community Center

The Federal Way Community Center, located on the southern end of Celebration Park, is a popular hub for activities and events that are suitable for people of all ages and abilities. The center includes a public recreational pool complex, a climbing pinnacle, and an indoor track. They offer a hot lunch program on Fridays, along with a full schedule of activities, classes, contests, day trips and special events. You can stop by the center to play bingo, bridge, pinochle, chess and cribbage, or relax by the fireplace in the Forest Lounge.

4. Century Theatres

What better way to take advantage of a cold winter afternoon or evening than with a trip to the movies? Century Theatres, located in The Commons at Federal Way, has showings of multiple movies and is known for its comfortable, clean environment. You can visit Toyland, make holiday crafts, take photos with Santa Claus, or join Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in a festive singalong nightly.
