Question: What Are You Doing to Keep Residents Safe During the Pandemic?
From the beginning of the pandemic, Village Green has made the safety of our residents and team a priority. Masks must be worn by anyone in the buildings, staff and residents are monitored daily for symptoms, and we initially restricted large gatherings such as congregation in the dining halls, group activities, and limited visitation.
As of late, we just re-opened our group dining facilities in a socially-distant manner, as well as small group activities that allow us to follow social distancing guidelines.
Please note that our ability to facilitate these small group activities and dining activities continues to fluctuate as Governor Inslee issues varying COVID-19 Response guidance.
Question: Describe the Setting that Residents Move Into?
Here at Village Green, we have both apartments and cottages that make up our community. We sit on 20 acres of land, which not only makes for beautiful outdoor views from our residents' windows, but also provides a great opportunity for everyone to get outside, breathe fresh air, and walk the grounds.
Question: What Is the Cost of Your Apartments?
We offer a variety of resident living options, ranging from studio apartments to two-bedroom apartments, and even cottages.
Currently, our Assisted Living and Independent Living rates start at $2,795 per month for a studio apartment, $3,295 per month for one-bedroom apartment, $3,795 per month for two-bedroom apartment, and cottage living begins at $4,295 per month. Check for up-to-date pricing and availability here.
Question: What is Village Green's Price-Matching Policy?
Due to these uncertain times, our team felt strongly that the access to safe and comfortable senior living we're proud to offer at Village Green should not be compromised solely based on cost.
Our Value Matching Program ensures that if you find a competitive price from a local senior living community in the Federal Way area, Village Green will match that price! Reach out to learn more about this unbeatable program.
Question: What is the Advantage to Moving into Village Green versus Staying Home?
Now more than ever, one of the biggest concerns with seniors aging-in-place is the fear of social isolation, and the negative effects that situation can pose on seniors' mental and physical well-being.
By moving into a community like Village Green, you will have an opportunity to form connections with neighbors who can turn into friends while remaining in a safe environment. Our small, socially-distant group activities encourage residents to engage with each other while sustaining mental and physical stimulation.
Another common fear amongst seniors and their loved ones is ensuring they are consuming a balanced and nutritional diet. Village Green's dining hall is not only a great place to interact with your neighbors, but to have peace-of-mind that you have a team of people preparing healthy and delicious meals!
Though we understand aging-in-place is comforting for most seniors, it is not always the safest option. At Village Green, everyday issues such as leaky faucets or blown light bulbs are taken care of by our maintenance and housekeeping teams, which eliminates the possibility of sustaining injuries from having to get out a step-stool or other hazards that can surmount from seniors living at home alone and needing to make their own repairs.
Question: What Are You Doing to Keep Residents Connected to Friends and Family?
Village Green has implemented a program for our residents and families with laptop computers in designated areas that connect to video chat websites such as Zoom, Teams, and FaceTime.
Residents are, of course, able to have their own laptops, computers, or tablets, and our team is always readily available to assist them with getting set up to chat with their loved ones.
Though visitation is limited, we are currently holding face-to-face visits outdoors on our patio area, while following all posted social distancing guidelines. We also encourage window visits!
Here are more ways we are keeping residents safe and connected.
Question: What is the One Thing You Want People to Know About Village Green?
